Beechworth Farmers’ Markets

First Saturday of every month – Beechworth Farmers’ Market is held on the first Saturday of every month 9:00am-12:00pm and specialises in a great variety of fresh, local produce.

Tour de Pedal to Produce – Victoria’s High Country

Tour de Pedal to Produce is an easy one day cycling tour that includes the major highlights of Beechworth and the Milawa wine and gourmet region.

Perfect if you are staying at Stanley Goose (or anywhere nearby), and you would like to explore the region but do not know where to start.

The riding is easy, using the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, and includes plenty of food and wine stops.

Cycles are included or bring your own – or use one of the new eBikes – and the package includes lunch, all directions and itinerary, on call support, bikes, purchase collection and bus pick up for you at the end of your ride so if you can seriously indulge in the many food and wine highlights of the Milawa region.

This is a self-guided day tour with all maps, directions and lunch bookings provided.

Meet at the Stanley AthenaeumBookings

Rediscover the ‘Apple Days of Stanley’ with this escorted walking and self-drive tour that will invite you to explore stories of the work, the orchards, the sheds and the vagaries of this industry that waxed and waned for over a century.

See the ‘Apple Days of Stanley’ exhibition that tells the story of over one hundred years of apple growing in Stanley and the trials and tribulations of the orchardists who had to work with the changing seasons, fluctuating and changing markets, international events and climate change.

Visit a working orchard and packing shed and tour the roads, lanes and byways of Stanley to see the vernacular architecture of the apple packing sheds.

Morning tea will be served at the Stanley Athenaeum.

Sinclair Orchards are a family owned and operated orchard, specialising in apples, pears, chestnuts and cherries. Purchase seasonal fruit and juice from our sales outlet in the centre of the Stanley township.

Snowline Fruits – Stanley

Snowline Fruits is a family owned and operated business with a modern medium density, world class orchard.

Their orchard is constantly changing with many difference varieties of tree ripened fruits, including apples, pears, stone fruit, berries, chestnuts, local walnuts and honey.

Visit their orchard and enjoy stunning views of the Victorian mountain ranges and brilliant Autumn colours against a backdrop of native bushland.

Guided tours of the orchard are available by arrangement.
